Opened in 1957, The Bowen Center is a private, nonprofit mental health clinic that provides substance abuse and mental health care to residents in 26 counties throughout Indiana.

Clients who are eligible for admission at the Warsaw residential unit start their treatment with a comprehensive physical and psychiatric examination, and social history.
Clients having a single or dual diagnosis of mental health disorders and chemical dependency stay on the unit until they transition to a group home or outpatient treatment or any other program recommended by the treatment team.

The center uses various therapeutic modalities for treating its clients including Seeking Safety and Matrix Model.
The Bowen Center also employs Moral Reconation Therapy for clients who are in the criminal justice system track. The center also offers its clients biofeedback, hypnosis, as well as a workshop for stress management and anxiety.
Besides these, Bowen Center provides its clients’ employee assistance program, grief counseling, community education sessions, social skills training, and special treatment for teens and women.
The treatment team at Bowen Center involves residential psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, licensed therapists, social workers, and a licensed dietitian. The team also comprises chemical dependency counselors, most of whom are equipped with masters as well as doctorate degrees.
