Located in Franklin, Tennessee, Rolling Hills Hospital (RHH) is a state-of-the-art hospital that offers treatment for substance abuse and acute mental health issues. For adult clients, RHH provides inpatient and outpatient programs. It also offers an exclusive track for adolescents. This center also provides tailor-made programs for clients suffering from co-occurring disorders. Medical detox services are available at RHH.
Situated on a tree-lined campus, Rolling Hills Hospital is a modern 80-bed facility. Adolescents and adults have separate housing units. The rooms, furnished with twin beds, are shared between residents. The room comes with an ensuite bathroom having a full bath as well as a shower.
RHH has numerous activity rooms complete with flat-screen TVs and tables for residents to play board games. These are allowed during the down time. Each housing unit also has a courtyard for the residents to exercise, get fresh air, or relax.
Residents are served meals in a common cafeteria. The menu includes several comfort food options such as macaroni and cheese and fried chicken. Soda, coffee, and snacks can be enjoyed at RHH, but energy drinks are not allowed. The dietitian-designed menu keeps on changing every day. Dietary restrictions are accommodated.
The intake process at RHH starts with mental health evaluation by a psychiatric nurse on-site. There are separate inpatient programs for adolescents and adults suffering from primary psychiatric conditions or dual diagnosis disorders. RHH also provides a program for patients aged 50 and above.
The treatment approach at RHH is evidence-based and utilizes CBT and DBT in combination with medication management, education, skills training, and art and recreational therapies. RHH also offers electroconvulsive treatment for treating depression.
Clients who receive treatment for dual diagnosis are also encouraged to take part in 12-step meetings. The co-occurring disorders program addresses topics such as behavioral health with regard to biological and social factors, emotion management, defense mechanism, and loss and grief.
Outpatient options at RHH include the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults. The program requires adults to attend sessions for 30 hours every week and employs the same treatment approach as used in the inpatient program. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is also offered to adolescents and adults.
The main emphasis of outpatient care is enabling the client to get back into the local recovery community. Some of the topics discussed during group therapy sessions include triggers, spirituality, relationships, time management, and relaxation techniques.
RHH offers its graduates and their family members lifelong aftercare.
The staff at Rolling Hills Hospital includes board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, registered nurses, mental health workers, LCSWs, CADCs, a pharmacist, dietitian, and certified activity therapists.
