Rimrock Foundation provides treatment programs for various conditions, such as substance abuse, eating disorders, sex addiction, and gambling. The foundation also offers on-site medical detox.
Rimrock Foundation is a huge hospital-like building and is located near Montana State University. Each resident at the Rimrock Foundation shares a room with another roommate. The rooms are very simple and have white walls and muted blue carpets. The rooms are furnished with beds and a simple wooden desk.
Rimrock does not encourage having cash in person, but residents can bring checks and cards, as they have access to ATM. Rimrock recommends allocating a specific amount to its residents, not a huge sum, but sufficient enough to buy pop and cigarettes while on recreational outings. Smokers can get unopened packs of cigarettes to the campus.
The foundation encourages wearing a decent dress—no tank tops and no tight dresses, and shorts that are knee-length or more. Clothes not adhering to this dress code are likely to be confiscated.
The diet is simple – not strict, and not lax. While caffeinated coffee is provided in the morning, caffeinated soda is prohibited. Dessert is served with both lunch and dinner, but the quantity of sugar is very negligible. Even though vegetarians are accommodated, the center does not provide any specific option for vegetarians. Special arrangements are also made for things such as protein bars.
Rimrock’s treatment programs aim at addressing the physical, spiritual, emotional, and social health of its clients. Treatment modalities offered at Rimrock combines evidence-based and 12-steps methods.
For adult residents, treatment starts with a detailed interview as well as a psychological evaluation. The residential program for adults includes psychiatric services, group and individual counseling, education, family therapy, spirituality sessions, a recreation program, and art therapy.
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) track is like the residential program. It offers treatment for nearly 12 hours every day. The center also offers an Intensive Outpatient Track (IOP) as well as general outpatient care, which includes motivational enhancement therapy (MET), Seeking Safety meetings, and a family violence program.
All program graduates are encouraged to attend the weekly aftercare meeting for at least 12 weeks.
For its adolescent clients, Rimrock offers a gender-segregated residential program which lasts for at least 35 days. The treatment modalities are similar to the adult residential programs but include Seven Challenges and canine therapy.
Group learning and tutoring are taken care of by a state-certified teacher. Rimrock also offers an adolescent IOP track.
The treatment team at Rimrock Foundation includes a physician, a psychiatrist, physician assistants, nurses, licensed addiction counselors, social workers, and master’s level counselors.
Approximately $13,000-$14,000 (30 days).
Private pay and insurance are accepted. Rimrock also provides financing options through American Healthcare Lending.
