- Profile
Ozark Mountain Alcohol Residential Treatment, Inc., or OMART Inc.is situated in Gassville, a tiny city in Arkansas. OMART offers an affordable inpatient program that lays more emphasis on recovery. Compared to other rehab programs, the duration of stay at OMART is higher than average.
Accommodations
OMART offers its clients co-ed dormitory-style accommodations (a hallway separates male and female clients) in one large facility that is surrounded by fields and trees. Rooms come with ensuite bathrooms. Two residents share a room that is furnished with simple furniture and twin beds.
Though OMART can accommodate up to 40 clients, the number of patients varies between 25 and 30. Residents at OMART can spend their free time either on an excursion or working out. They can play volleyball on an on-site sand court. Residents can walk on the grounds after their lunch. Additionally, during the summertime, they can enjoy an outing to nearby White River. They can visit the White River every Friday afternoon.
Food
Residents at OMART are served three meals a day, prepared by an on-site chef. They can also enjoy snacks during their classes.
Treatment Program
The average length of stay at OMART is anywhere from 28 days to 42 days. A day at OMART starts at 6:00 am, which is followed by a morning meditation session. Residents are served breakfast at 7:00 am. After breakfast, residents attend group sessions and educational classes. Each session lasts for nearly 45 minutes. Residents get free time at 4:00 pm.
OMART holds twice-weekly on-site 12-step meetings; occasional trips to off-site 12-step meetings are allowed. Residents requiring detox have to get it on their own as OMART does not offer any medical detox support. While OMART provides non-medical detox for minor withdrawal symptoms, residents requiring medical help for their symptoms are transferred to Baxter Regional Medical Center.
Though OMART has a medical director who conducts the initial intake assessment, there is no psychiatric or medical staff to take care of the daily concerns. Residents can take outside medications, provided they are approved before their admission. The on-site team handles the distribution of medicines throughout the day.
Besides the inpatient residential program, OMART does offer extended care to its residents through a facility located in Gassville. This facility helps the program graduates to find a sober living situation as well as stable employment once the inpatient program is over.
In Addition

1 Review on “Ozark Mountain Alcohol Residential Treatment (OMART), Inc.”
OMART is set up on a beautiful campus. One feels close to nature in such a setting, and the treatments will be more effective. However, I want to point out one or two things. Firstly, the staff has to be calmer and address the clients politely. A few of the staff members were shouting at the top of their voice. Please remember, we are traumatized and not in a proper frame of mind, and anything that can trigger our relapse should be avoided. Secondly, please give our prescriptions meds on time. I had already informed the staff about certain medications that I have to take without fail, but the staff members just forget to give them regularly. I have missed several doses, thanks to their forgetfulness. Also, you need to get a psychiatrist to handle patients with psych issues. They are neglected.
