- Profile
A 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, New Hope Integrated Behavioral Healthcare (New Hope IBHC), was founded as New Hope Foundation in 1976.
The center offers treatment programs for compulsive gambling, substance abuse as well as co-occurring issues. It also provides detox services as well as short-term residential care for adolescents aged 13-17 and adults.
New Hope operates out of six branches with its primary office located in Marlboro, NJ. The other sober-living and outpatient facilities are also spread across New Jersey.
Accommodations
The Marlboro campus of New Hope IBHC was opened in 2007 on the grounds of shuttered Marlboro Psychiatric Treatment Center. The facility is bright, clean, and very modern. It can accommodate around 140 residents. The rooms are shared between two residents. There is also a separate housing unit for residents of the adolescent programs.
Food
Residents are served meals cafeteria-style during their stay here. That said, the meals are not your regular run-of-the-mill type. Alumni have termed the meals as a “five-star cuisine.”
The residents have their meals in a dining hall that is shared with another rehab situated on the same campus – The Discovery Institute, not linked to New Hope IBHC.
Treatment Program
The treatment modality for the New Hope IBHC programs is the 12-steps approach. Residents are offered medical support, counseling, and psychological support. New Hope IBHC emphasizes on residents taking responsibility and focuses on instilling a recovery behavior that will help the residents stay sober for their entire life.
New Hope IBHC, as part of its treatment program, provides detox services lasting from a minimum of four days to at least two weeks. Once detox is complete, they get transitioned into the residential programs. These programs are customized and can last for nearly 90 days.
Treatment options offered by the center include medical assessment as well as management, group and individual counseling, family education as well as counseling, targeted education, and case management.
The center also provides aftercare planning, which involves discharge planning, one-to-one follow up, and referrals.
Coming to the adolescent group, New Hope IBHC offers programs lasting from 90 days to 180 days. The programs address developmental challenges, with a particular emphasis on school. The program participants work on achieving the medical, psychological, and psychiatric goals, values clarification, socialization, family dynamics, as well as other relationships.
New Hope IBHC also offers GED training.
