One of the newest kids in the town when it comes to offering treatment for behavioral health, Mesa Springs was established in 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. Mesa Springs provides inpatient and outpatient programs for both substance abuse and co-occurring disorders to children, adolescents, and adults.
Unlike a typical psychiatric hospital, Mesa Springs offers its clients a holistic and personal wellness program besides regular therapy. As part of its treatment program, the facility utilizes the latest advancements in the field of addiction recoveries such as web-based Good Days Ahead and COGNIT programs, and Hazelden Co-Occurring Disorders Program.
This 72-bed facility offers programs for both mental health and psychiatric issues. The rooms are spacious and have twin beds as well as en suite bathrooms. Comfortable common areas are provided for the residents to play games and watch TV during down time.
Clients eat their meals in a bright and cheerful cafeteria. The meals are prepared from a nutritionist-designed menu. Special preferences and food allergies are accommodated, provided they are valid.
Mesa Springs offers its clients a detox unit. The average stay at this unit is five days to a week. Once detox is completed, the clients are transitioned to an inpatient treatment where they stay two weeks to a month. Therapy provided by Mesa Springs utilizes a 12-step framework, CBT and DBT, along with modern holistic and web-based methods. These complement traditional therapies.
Clients are encouraged by the treatment team to participate in 12-step meetings and facilitate meetings several times a week. While individual therapy session is offered on an as-needed basis, the client has to attend group therapy sessions several times a day. Comprehensive dual-diagnosis support is also provided to clients. They can also meet a psychiatric nurse practitioner or a psychiatrist for medication management.
The clients at Mesa Springs are treated by a team that includes LSCWs, LPCs, and case managers.
Besides the traditional therapies, Mesa Springs offers its clients holistic therapies such as nutrition counseling, pet therapy, art therapy, yoga, and workout activities.
Families can participate in support as well as education groups to raise their level of awareness when it comes to mental illness and addiction. Clients who complete their initial treatment are offered a free aftercare support group.
Accepts private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. Self-pay rates will be provided upon contacting the facility.
