Though the rooms aren’t large, they are comfy enough and have dressers. The clients share the closest space on offer. The facility provides towels and linens to its clients. Although the program is gender-neutral, men and women do not share spaces during treatment and sleep at different ends of the building.
Intermountain Hospital offers its clients an on-site gym facility where they can workout using cardio machines or free weights on offer. The hospital has areas earmarked for reading, meditating, and relaxing. The clients can watch movies weekly in the designated TV area.
Intermountain Hospital does not allow their clients to access the internet during their stay on the campus. They also cannot use any personal devices such as tablets or phones. Clients can use the floor phone during the break for leisure activities.
Food
The center offers its clients three meals served in a cafeteria that comes equipped with salad bars as well as various options for drinks. The nutritionist-designed meals are prepared by kitchen staff. Clients can munch on granola bars or fresh fruits during down times.
Treatment Program
Treatment offered by Intermountain Hospital relies heavily on education and uses various modalities for designing an individualized program plan. A typical program lasts from 21 to 28 days. Detox is scheduled for necessary patients and can last from 3 to 5 days. Detox takes place in the main hospital situated on the campus. Once detoxified, the client is then transitioned to the inpatient program.
Clients have to undergo a thorough assessment before starting a treatment program. This also helps in determining if any client requires psychiatric medications. Clients suffering from co-occurring issues are provided with medication management.
A day at the Intermountain Hospital campus starts at 6:00 AM. The clients are divided into six groups. They have to undergo individual and group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, complete the assignments, and attend daily AA-meetings conducted on the campus.
Therapy provided at the center involves a combination of various approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), coping skills, relapse prevention, expressive as well as experiential methods.

This place does nothing, absolutely nothing for those who need help. I was depressed and had thought of harming myself. I told this during my intake, and guess what…most of the time I spent here was alone. Nobody seemed bothered about me. When alone, I became more depressed. They couldn’t understand what was wrong and discharged me. Thanks to them, I had to visit another center where they took excellent care of me. Never coming back nor recommending it.
The inpatient program here is one of the best in this neck of the woods. They were able to understand my problem. I have been to a fair share of rehabs, and never did I receive such warmth and care. I loved my team. I was so happy here that I even volunteered to stay back and work, but was unfortunately denied. Definitely recommend.
Expect for a doctor, none of the other staff members were supportive. They do not listen to you and are hell-bent on proving you wrong every single time.
This center has one of the most structured detox, as well as rehab that I have ever come across. I have benefited from being here. The place is good, and the staff is excellent. Yes, if you are entering here for the first time, then you will feel more helpless when you do not have your usual support like phones and computers, but then it is for our betterment. These folks do care for you. If you are looking for any structured program, then do not hesitate, call them. It is not as bad as it is sounds.
