Located near to the Indiana University campus, in the city of Bloomington, IN, is the Indiana Center for Recovery or ICFR. ICFR is a treatment center that offers programs for substance abuse and dual diagnosis disorders.
This family-owned organization believes in treating a person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. To this end, ICFR offers a customized treatment program combining 12-step methods, evidence-based therapies, as well as holistic methods. The programs on offer include detox services, residential care, and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
Residents of Indiana Center for Recovery live in spacious, upscale 2,600 square foot housing. This apartment offers its residents a peaceful atmosphere where they can focus on recovery. A total of 58 beds are provided at this facility. The living units are segregated based on gender. While ICFR encourages the clients to have roommates, they do offer private rooms, if necessary. Bedrooms have lots of natural light and are furnished with twin-sized beds.
Residents are served meals prepared by a chef. Every meal takes into consideration the resident’s specific needs. Residents are also offered a mindful nutrition program.
The ICFR program encourages residents to discover their inner self by implementing a strategy which focuses on emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, and social aspects.
Upon intake, residents undergo an assessment for determining the best treatment track for their needs. If necessary, a seven-to ten-day medication-assisted detox program is scheduled and provided at an outside facility in Florida. After the detox is completed, a majority of the residents are transitioned into a residential program.
The length of ICFR’s residential program depends on the resident’s specific needs; however, a typical program will last anywhere from 30 days to 60 days. Residents attend both individual and group therapy sessions and are provided education about addiction. The treatment therapy at ICFR utilizes various evidence-based modalities like CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), DBT, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. EMDR is also offered to treat trauma.
Additionally, various holistic models are utilized in the treatment program. Some of these include acupuncture, yoga, meditation, expressive therapy, equine therapy, and trauma therapy. Residents are also offered a therapeutic massage, personal training, and a sleep hygiene program. Biofeedback is also provided.
ICFR also offers non-spiritual alternatives and a 12-step approach modality.
Indiana Center For Recovery’s multidisciplinary team comprises physicians, a nursing team, psychologists, addiction specialists, counselors, clinical coaches, social workers, and specialists. For residents having co-occurring disorders, ICFR offers medication management with the help of an on-site psychiatrist.
Aftercare is given due importance at ICFR. To ensure the sustainability of the recovery program, ICFR offers ongoing monitoring with the help of case managers and an alumni association. Following the completion of the treatment program, residents work with case managers and alumni to determine the most effective aftercare.
Additionally, a scholarship program is also offered for insurance-less clients.
Approximately $11,500 (30 days).
