Treatment Program
Prospective clients begin treatment at Cornerstone with a comprehensive evaluation. Based on the results, the team creates a personalized treatment plan. Based on severity, clients may undergo medically monitored detox. Once they are stabilized, the participants are transitioned to an adult residential program offered by Cornerstone. The program typically runs for 28 to 35 days.
The treatment approach at Cornerstone is based on the 12 steps. A majority of the therapies and activities take place in a group setting. Some clients, however, may also require additional physical and psychological assessments. Residents undergo group therapy sessions, educational programs, 12-step meetings, family therapy sessions, and recreational activities throughout the day.
While Cornerstone offers a residential program to adults aged above 18, they also provide a special residential recovery program for young adults aged 18 to 26. This specialized track focuses on energy levels, behavior styles, and developmental issues specific to these young adults.
Successful graduates are offered aftercare services for 18 months after their discharge.

I was transformed. Not into any superhero, but into a normal human being, which is a miracle given the state I was in before joining COR. I did not like the place initially, but the selfless and excellent care that the staff gave me helped in destroying the wall around me and allowed me to open up. COR gave me my life back, just when I was giving up hope. Forever Grateful!!!!!
My son admitted here, and he is doing great. I just attended a family program, and it was wonderful and very insightful. The only issue that bugs me is the communication or the lack of. When I was attending the family program, I could see the lack of communication between the staff members and between the patients and staff. It is something that Cornerstone needs to work on.
Cornerstone of Recovery certainly puts money before the health of the patient. My brother is undergoing an inpatient program. Suddenly, he has been shifted to the other end because these folks needed his bed for another patient. Since they have moved him to the other side, they have canceled three to four counseling sessions. He still has three weeks of inpatient treatment left, but I am wondering if he will be able to survive it. Planning to get him out from there.
