Columbus Springs Dublin has been serving people since 2013. Called initially as Dublin Springs, the facility changed its name to Columbus Springs Dublin in 2017. Situated in Columbus, a Dublin suburb, the facility functions as Beckett Springs Hospital’s sister hospital.
The facility offers its clients detox in association with short-term inpatient programs for substance abuse. Columbus Springs Dublin provides an evidence-based treatment approach that involves a customized treatment plan incorporating Hazelden and Good Days Ahead curricula. The facility also provides its clients with dual diagnosis support.
Treatment at Columbus Springs Dublin is conducted in a 72-bed hospital setting. The rooms are semi-private and shared between two clients. The rooms also have separate desks and closet spaces for the clients. The facility offers on-site washer and dryer as well as detergent and toiletries. The clients are free to bring their detergent and toiletries if they desire.
Clients get three meals, served cafeteria-style. The cost of the meals is included the overall cost for treatment and stay. The meals are prepared from a menu designed by a registered dietitian. Special dietary needs are accommodated. Extra drinks and snacks are available during the entire day.
Unlike other treatment programs, Columbus Springs Dublin does not provide a 30-day treatment program.
A detailed assessment is done while the client undergoes detox. They have to meet the minimum qualification, which corresponds to the program length. Programs offered at Columbus Springs Dublin last anywhere between four days to 14 days. During their stay in the program, the clients have to undergo therapy sessions for at least 10 hours a day. They attend different group therapy sessions, such as relapse prevention classes, psychotherapy, recreation therapy, coping skills, and pet therapy.
Clients are evaluated by a psychiatrist and also attend daily individual sessions. They also attend family therapy sessions, if required. Columbus Springs Dublin uses CBT along with COGNIT (an internet-based learning and recovery tracking system) as the treatment modality.
As part of its outpatient program, Columbus Springs Dublin offers Changes®, a program that includes the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Columbus Springs Dublin treatment team comprises a psychiatrist, staff nurse, psychologist, expressive/recreational therapist, patient care assistant, and LCSW. Family and individual therapy sessions are conducted by either a visiting MFT or a social worker.
Columbus Springs Dublin offers an alumni support group that meets from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm every Monday and 11:00 am to 12:30 pm every Thursday, except the first Thursday of the month.
