Center Category: Rehab Centers
Set up on sprawling, manicured grounds, BRC Recovery is located in Central Texas, about ten miles east from Austin. Offering a full continuum of care, BRC Recovery adheres to strict clinical standards, values, and holistic approaches that set it apart from other rehab treatment centers. BRC Recovery caters to clients from all over Texas, including Huston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Fort Worth.
While BRC Recovery offers treatment tracks to the various age groups- from adolescents to seniors – most of the clientele are in their 20s – 30s.
The facility offers gender-specific accommodations, maxing out at 20 women and 38 men. The female residential units have double occupancy rooms, while four men share a room. The residents are subjected to daily bed as well as room checks.
Even though the treatment track at BRC Recovery is simple, it is very rigid. Residents have to complete the morning chores. When they are not attending the off-site 12-step meetings (three times a week), they attend the onsite classes on Alcoholics Anonymous’ Big Book.
The residents themselves cook dinner. The menu consists of staple American dishes like salmon, steak, pasta, and pork.
BRC Recovery is unlike any other addiction treatment centers and has a strict treatment protocol. The programs offered by BRC Recovery are designed to give those addicts and alcoholics who are running short of cash a chance to seek treatment.
The residents are drawn towards the 12-step recovery process through a thorough understanding of self-care, service work, step work, Big Book study, fellowship, honesty, and sponsorship.
The treatment center is very rigid, and there is not enough free time for the residents. Even if they get some free time, they can watch TV for only 30 minutes during weekdays and a few hours during the weekends. The use of cell phones is also restricted, and residents can use them for 10 minutes only each week.
The treatment team at BRC Recovery is strong, with nearly 28 staff members, who work full-time as “recovery managers” and patient care coordinators. BRC Recovery also has access to a medical doctor, licensed EMDR therapist, dietician/nutritionist, and an addiction counselor as regular consultants.
Since the use of sugar is strictly restricted, an ice cream social in a month is eagerly awaited by the residents. At the other end of health coin, residents are encouraged to work out and do yoga during the weekdays.
Approximately $14,000 (30 days).
