Located in West Chester, a Cincinnati suburb, Beckett Springs Hospital was established in 2013. A sister concern of Dublin Springs, Beckett Springs provides its clients detox treatment along with an inpatient supportive short-term therapy for substance abuse. The center utilizes evidence-based methods to create an individualized plan for its clients. Besides inpatient programs, Beckett Springs offers both dual-diagnosis support as well as outpatient follow up.
Beckett Springs is a 72-bed hospital that was supposed to function as a substance abuse and mental health treatment hospital. Two residents share each room. The room has a desk and closet for each client as well as an en-suite bathroom. Beckett Springs offers on-site laundry facilities. The facility also provides cleaning supplies to its clients. Those wanting to get their supplies are allowed to do so.
Residents at Beckett Springs are offered three meals, served cafeteria-style. The treatment fee is inclusive of the costs for the meals. Residents are allowed to purchase additional snacks and drinks on-site.
Treatment at this facility typically starts after a free evaluation. After their assessment, residents are transferred to inpatient detox. The detox program generally lasts anywhere between four to 14 days. However, most of the clients complete these in a week.
During their detox, residents are placed under 24/7 supervision of a medical doctor and nursing staff. Depending upon the patient’s medical history and physician recommendation, the residents are given anti-craving and non-addictive medications such as Naloxone, Naltrexone, and Neurontin.
A resident in this treatment program takes part in group therapy sessions based on evidence-based methods. Each session lasts around 10 hours every day. Residents are also required to attend an individual meeting once weekly.
Since Beckett Springs functions as an acute facility, they, with the help of the resident’s insurance network, help a stabilized resident to decide an appropriate treatment program to continue after detox. Based on their need, the client can avail further treatment either through a residential program or as an Intensive Outpatient Program.
Residents can also continue receiving outpatient follow up at the hospital. The options on offer include either a twice a week program or a six-day evening program. The residents have to continue their sessions during this period.
The treatment team at Beckett Springs include medical doctor, nursing staff, LCSWs, and therapists (expressive, recreational, family, and marriage).
The treatment model at Beckett Springs is based on CBT, along with COGNIT, a web-based continuous recovery tracking, and an e-learning system. This allows the patients to 24-hour access to various relapse prevention and educational tools, during their treatment as well as after their discharge.
Approximately $5,000 (per 5 days; collected upfront).
